Spanish Onion
The Spanish onion is distinctively large, being available only in jumbo and colossal sizes. Yet despite its size, it is fragile, complex and difficult to grow. The Spanish onion is a scarce commodity in Quebec since the short summers and climatic and agronomic conditions require greater attention at each stage of production. The Spanish onion is available in August and September in 25 lb and 50 lb formats.
